Working with the creative director to keep brand consistency through effective design of seasonal marketing campaigns, product lines, and online presence. Linking between product managers and developers on patterns and graphics for softgoods and device-driven hardgoods. Collaborating within an internal design team providing research, inspiration, and ideation for new products. Designing with the web manager and programmer to creatively launch new products online. Also responsible for shooting a consistently high standard of product photography to be ultimately used though marketing and distributor needs including advertising and website applications.

NIXON INC. » ENCINITAS, CA

Responsibilities crossed over marketing, product, and sales to ensure the Nixon brand remained consistent and fresh. Team management duties included overseeing projects from concept to completion through in-house designers, programmers, and product department to reinforce the brand image. Major seasonal projects included gathering feedback, presenting solutions to the team, building timelines, and overall responsibility for execution. Seasonal strategies included high-quality catalogs and retail-level lookbooks, website rebranding, softgood and accessory design, point-of-purchase from hangtags to custom window displays, creation of tradeshow and event identity packages. Also integral in conceptualization and input on watch, accessory, and softgood design.

Managed overall consistency through design, production, and web assets for interactive online magazine and store. Responsible for online focused marketing strategies, building a catalog of interactive web features, organizing and distributing bi-weekly newsletters to 150k users. Offline design and layout of monthly issues of Swell and Monsterskate catalogs, and aiding in redesigning sister sites Swell.com and Surfline.com.

Tight collaboration with creative director in creation of characters and graphics that told a story behind the brand. Integral in the success of designing graphics to fit t-shirts, accessories, and housewares. Work consisted of inspiration research to concept, design, and production of final artwork. Also responsible for design of hangtags, packaging, and in-store point-of-purchase displays.
